Brothers Lewis, Stanley, Fred, and Sam followed in the footsteps of their father, Jacob Goldstein, who founded the Liberty Fish Company of Philadelphia in 1907. SIRF, formerly known as the Fisheries Scholarship Fund and then the Lewis Goldstein Memorial Fund, was established to honor former NFI President Lewis Goldstein, who died in a tragic plane crash in 1964.

The John P. Connelly Memorial Fund has successfully met its goal with SIRF Board members’ help by raising $91,725 in donations.
