We are proud and active board members of the National Fisheries Institute (NFI) and the Better Seafood Board (BSB). Our participation in these organizations solidify our commitments to seafood safety, sustainable management of our oceans and being stewards of our environment. Aspects of this include the use of on-site quality teams to monitor production, agreements with local governments to help further sustainability initiatives and a focus on full product traceability, from raw materials to finished goods. DSA represents one of Asia’s Blue Swimming Crab pioneers, who were keenly focused on improving the quality of crabmeat. To achieve their goals, they embraced the same direct sourcing philosophy as Harbor Seafood. The success of this model has allowed DSA to grow their operations to include 9 crab plants throughout Asia. In addition, they have expanded beyond the crabmeat category to include various seafood commodities in both the finfish and shellfish categories.
Carrington Foods is a family owned company with a rich history that dates back nearly 50 years. They produce value added products that draw upon the traditions of their family recipes while combining them with modern and innovative practices. The company is dedicated to providing outstanding products at competitive prices. Their commitment to quality and safety exemplified by their achievement of food safety ratings like SQF Level 2. Carrington Foods has enjoyed steady growth throughout the years and has evolved into one of the largest value added seafood companies in the US.
SudMaris is a privately owned company focused on the farming, processing and export of Chilean Blue Mussels. One of their main objectives is to provide customers with quality products through strict controls at every phase of the process to ensure complete traceability. The strength of their commitment is represented by the certifications they have in place, which includes BRC Global Standards, Organic, Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). Harbor Seafood is proud to partner with SudMaris and serve as their official sales arm in the United States.
